PC '24, we are SO excited for you!
If you are interested in sorority recruitment, we welcome you! We are so excited that you are interested in joining the Greek community at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Sorority recruitment will begin in August 2024. The Greek community at UNL is steeped in tradition and the Kappa Chapter of Chi Omega is proud to play an active role.
During recruitment, you will have the opportunity to meet our sisters and learn more about our purposes, activities and the opportunities you will have as a Chi Omega sister. We would love to tell you more about our values and what it means to be a Chi O at Nebraska.
As the women of Chi Omega at UNL, we strive to find a balance in all we do during our time on campus. Whether it is fun, friendship, academics, or one of the many activities Chi O’s are involved in (both on and off campus), we have found that being in Chi Omega helps us achieve all we have set out to do while remembering what is most important. We all found a home at Chi Omega the instant we walked through the big red door.

DO YOU KNOW A WOMAN WHO WOULD MAKE A GREAT CHI OMEGA?
You can help our chapter find young women who exhibit Chi Omega's six purposes by signing into EveryDay in order to complete a Recruitment Information Form (RIF). Reference the "Recruitment Information" section on your EveryDay home page. You can mail your physical RIF to the address below:

LEGACY POLICY:
A legacy is a Potential New Member whose mother or sister is an initiated Chi Omega in good standing. The following will apply to all Chi Omega legacies: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Panhellenic no longer collects legacy information. If you would like to introduce Kappa Chapter to a legacy (mother or sister of a Chi Omega in good standing) or any young woman, please submit a RIF by Friday, August 7 at www.chiomega.com/everyday or by mail to Lisa Glathar 6000 Veritas Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516.
Legacies and women with connections to Chi Omega are given thoughtful consideration by the chapter. Please know that being designated a legacy does not guarantee membership to Chi Omega.
Kappa Chapter does not contact the mother or sister of a legacy if she will be invited or released at any point during recruitment.
It is not always possible for the chapter to extend an invitation to every woman who receives a RIF. Panhellenic places limits on the number of invitations a chapter may extend for each round of recruitment. Kappa Chapter collegians have the privilege and responsibility of selecting new members.
