Make-A-Wish!
|
Make-A-Wish has been Chi Omega's national philanthropy since 2002. We host several events within our chapter each year dedicating to granting wishes to children battling terminal illnesses.
We fundraise to offer children the chance to focus less on the burdens that come with illness, and more on being a child again. Chi Omega has raised over 30 MILLION dollars for Make-A-Wish and each year, our chapter gets to humbly contribute to that in any way we can. Read about our philanthropy events throughout the year! |
Fun Fact: On average, it takes about $7,000 to grant just one wish!

Cup of Joe with Chi O:Every year in the spring, Chi Omega pairs up with a local business - The Chocolate Season, owned by one of our very own Chi Omega alumna - to sell coffee and pastries to friends and family. This event happens in the morning right behind our home. Most students stop by before class to grab a cup of coffee, a donut, and help grant a wish. The morning of Cup of Joe is always a lively one filled with music and laughter.

Waffles for Wishes:This last year, Chi Omega and the Farmhouse fraternity paired up to raise money to help grant wishes by selling tickets to eat waffles made by the Waffle Man! We raised thousands from this event, granting multiple wishes! It filled our hearts to see all of greek life come to the Chi Omega house to support this cause. This was one of the biggest events we have ever hosted and we plan to top it next year!

Wings for Wishes:Wings for Wishes is one of our longest-standing philanthropy events at our chapter. Selling endless wings to family and friends always yields a jaw-dropping turnout. This is many of our members' favorite philanthropy event each year because it is typically the first one of the school year. It always starts the year's philanthropy events off right with so much energy and passion for creating change within Nebraska.

A message from our
" Make-A-Wish holds a special place in my heart - as well as all of our members' - because of the difference we get to make in the lives of children struggling with life-threatening illnesses. Kappa Chapter holds three philanthropy events each year, and all of the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Nebraska. We are helping grant wishes right here in Nebraska where we are able to see our impact firsthand. We LOVE Make-A-Wish!!!"
